Public education and inequality

The reason for creating public schools was because they wanted to train the kids for a better job and have American citinzenship it was the key to a greater financial security and social status. Their was benefits of public schools but also problems like students being miserable not being able to go or not knowing the new rules. Public schools helped families offering them help with child care for employed mothers they took children out of factories and sweatshops they thought children how to read write do math and English language.  Schools also perpetuate inequality because equal opportunities differed sharply for black and white children and also religions having different schools for each race. Some other issues that schools had were is that some people resented replacing their native languages in favor of English catholics were especially concerned because many public schools systems had mandatory reading from the protest.

" what happened to the 43"

One night on September 2014 college students were ambushed the 3 buses they were stopped by the police in a town named Iguala in the state of Gerrero as a consequence 6 people were killed and who their is known 43 students were kidnapped and until now are missing.

Whom suspects known to demand and stop the 3 buses they were in were Jose Luis Abarca and his Wife Maria de los angeles pineda  who is the mayor  and his wife.

These students are from a school named the Ayotzinapal school whos mission was to teach people to rise up, train future teachers the students who attend are from families that live in poverty or they are farmers.

But who would of thought all this could of happen just because the government who is in power do not agree with the political beliefs of the ayotzinapal students is because their beliefs are not following what they have in place the Government does not want them to stand up by themselves and make them feel powerless.

The reaction of the mexican people to the missing students was anger towards the gov the people also confronted them with weapons because they had no choice and went in search for the students.

The government reaction towards the missing students was just abandoning the people.

The mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto also contributed to locate the missing students by signing a document promising the parents that the gov would look for students alive. and to make this even worse the governor of guerrero quit his job.

"How The Tycoons Became So Rich"

"How The Tycoons Became So Rich"

In my opinion I think the most important aspects of Carnegie's was important for them was to make a lot of profit. Who where the tycoons and how did they get so wealthy? The had a mind set for business they also had bad ethics which were bad for the consumers. The also attempted to control through vertical integration as much as possible, buying all the coal, iron, mines, railroads and more. What is a robber baron? is a ruthlessly powerful U.S. capital or industrialist considered to have become wealthy by exploiting natural resources. Like Rockefeller, Carnegie, Vanderbilt, Morgan. What is a social Darwinism and why would
Thomas Clark Durant made fortune of 16 million by monopolizing traffic in California.http://goo.gl/19ZN8b
rich men like the Darwinism philosophy. Darwinism described how species flourished and passed their traits on to a next generation while the other did not like it because they thought being rich was a sign of gods favor and being poor a sight of being lazy or inferior.
Cornelius Vanderbilt built         himself a fortune by selling most of his ships to the union navy and started his career of a railroad tycoon. Became the richest man in the whole world.http://goo.gl/Z7vd7K

The new technology and construction

In the reading compiled by Danny Blas technology helped america reach the sky. Technology also changed the way we recieve information dramatically. Technology also helped how people moved around by incorporating trains, subways, streetcars, bridges and bicycle paths. Technology has also change the way we read and learn since potography helped newspapers to become more efficient since they were printed out faster  and made it easy to learn because they were easy to access.
In the second reading compiled by Danny Blas that talks about passive houses. A passive house is an enviornmentally responsible house withouth traditionally heating and air conditioning. Passive houses are different than traditionally houses because they are more expensive. It is also good because it reduces the amount of enrgy up to 25 dollars a month. The reading also states that some residents living in expensive neighboorhood are against the new passive houses because they were jealous and did not want another class of people living with them . A quote that was incorporated in the reading was " they probably wanted something craftsman here" This means that the people who said the quote sarcastically wanted the same style of house in their neighboorhood.
As an overall technology changed the way americans live because they incorporated new innovative products and buildings took in mind all the safety regulations to be safe and create less pollution. Because back then they had no control of the pollution created by the factories nor building safety regulations and risked peoples health. having this new industrial revolution changed the lives of thousands of people Since there was a big economic effect and created alot of jobs for the people.

Argumentative essay

During WW2 communication was not as easy as today, before people who were at long distance and tried to communicate had to write letters and wait 3-4 days to receive the message. Levi Kinsel is an example of how he communicated with his wife Rose Kinsel by writting letters. Levi Kinsel who worked in the U.S navy as a mechanic, was born in the year 1905. He was married to his wife Rose Kinsel. My classmates and i began working on a project for the last few days, regarding a storehouse of memory that contained letters written during WW2 by Levi Kinsel and were kept by Rose Kinsel. As a class we had to transcribe the letters because they were originally written in cursive ,we also had to write down information about what was going in order to create a profile about Levi Kinsel with the information we were given through the letters. My team mates and i came to a point on how we would describe Levi Kinsel according to the letters we had he was a very caring, busy and unhealthy person.  Other team mates may think differently about Levi Kinsel but the letters we got they sure describe the 3 characteristics we choose.

As a group we consider Levi a very caring  person because according to his letters we know by a fact that he cares alot about his wife Levi tries to write to her almost everyday. According to page number 34 wrote on March 27 -1944  he asks Rose " How are you doing down there?" I hope you got time and how is Alec doing with the paint?. Another example of Levi being caring is on page number 34 written on the 6th of April- 1944 in Astola ore he says " I don't see why you are doing all that hard work or so much of it all at once.... i was glad you had the house painted but you should have waited and have someone do it.

Another way we consider Levi is being a very busy man an example of this is on page 38 in the second paragraph written in ports mouth Virginia he says " I went through Arizona N.M, Colorado, Cans Missouri, Ohio and Val. I was really all the way to Colorado about 50 miles and then we went through Raton at 2:30 A.M..Another example is on the same page line 2 he says " I understand now that we leave here in a few days and go to sea for a few operations and then head to New York. Another one is in line 3 were he says '' Well i have been busy but still take time and  write you letters".

Levi is also described as unhealthy not the kind of unhealthy that can affect others but just in general like when he says in page number 32 in the first paragraph " I caught another cold and felt pretty bad Saturday so stayed out words and took some pills. Another example is on page number 30 in the first paragraph, " I have a pretty sore finger on my right hand when i was sharpening the butcher knife and cut it and my finger got infected".
In conclusion all these examples support what we think of Levi's characteristics describing him as caring, busy, and unhealthy man. Some other class mates and their teams may think different because they read different letters. But the letters my team and i choose were really straight forward and making us think that these 3 characteristics really describe how Levi Kinsel was, and not only we described how he is but what he went through just by trying to communicate with his wife.  Overall this was a very original and exciting project, because you learn something different by each letter we had to transcribe, and create a  personal profile of the writter based on the evidence given to us.
